It’s known for being engaging, wild, and giving players the opportunity to express their true personalities. Apex Legends is a free-to-play online shooter with plenty of perks and features to keep it entertaining and interesting. You can generally unlock or win more of a certain token or Shard through achieving certain feats or killing a particular enemy. 

 

Legend Tokens and How to Use Them 

 

Legend Tokens are one of the currencies in Apex Legends, and they have the same value as Apex Coins. However, you can actually win Legend Tokens, which is what sets them apart from Apex Coins. Their status means you can use Legend Tokens to purchase some of the most exclusive and desirable skins in the entire game. You can even use them to buy new legends altogether. 

 

Fortunately, it’s also relatively easy to win Legend Tokens. You can earn them naturally as you play, without needing to grind if you don’t want to. For example, you generally receive Legend Tokens when you level up. If you focus on getting as much XP as possible while you play, then you should be able to accumulate enough Legend Tokens without ever needing to pay for them via microtransactions. 

 

Heirloom Shards and How to Use Them 

 

Heirloom Shards are the newest currency to have been introduced to Apex Legends. This currency is unique to each legend, and they’re much harder to win or earn than the other currencies. Heirloom Shards may appear in Apex Legends Apex Packs. If you win a Shard this way, you can then exchange it for the Heirloom that it corresponds to. 

 

You can exchange Heirloom Shards for some of the most powerful items in the game, so it’s definitely worthwhile trying to get a hold of them if you can. With some of the weapons that correspond to Heirloom Shards, you’re a force to be reckoned with on the Apex Legends battlefield.
