Are you new to Dota
2? Trying to learn all about the different abilities you can use against your
enemies can be confusing and time-consuming. While learning as you go can be an
excellent way to understand the game, sometimes it helps to have specific
abilities explained beforehand. Today, we take a more in-depth look at the
Nullifier, what it does, and who should use it.
What
is Nullifier Ability and Who Does it Affect?
The Nullifier is an
item found under the Magical category. It is a target unit's ability that
affects any enemies. It is used against within a 900-cast range. When the
Nullifier is used, it puts a de-buff on the enemy for five seconds while it
dispels your target. Whenever your target gets attacked, it is slowed for 0.5
seconds at a rate of 80%. With an effect like this, is it obvious why players
choose to purchase the Nullifier?
How
Do I Purchase the Nullifier Item?
If you are looking
to purchase the Nullifier for yourself, head to the Main Shop. You can find
this item under the Magical category. You should be aware that one cannot
simply head to the Main Shop, buy the Nullifier, and use it against your
enemies. You must first make a trek to the Secret Shop so your purchase can be
completed. If you have never been there before, the Secret Shop can be found in
the map center. There are two you can choose from, as Heroes can visit either.
One is located on the Radiant Side and the other on the Dire Side. Don't forget
to head there before trying to launch your Nullifier.
Which
Heroes are Best with Nullifier
Some Heroes are
better suited for Nullifier than others. Using the right Hero can improve your
game while using the wrong Hero can result in a wasted purchase.
Here are a few
Heroes that you may want to choose to dominate your game.
Clinkz: Clinkz does
well with Nullifier but try using it in conjunction with Strafe. This way, when
you use the item, you can trigger the slow and avoid most interruptions.
Faceless Void: To
dispel favored items like Ethereal Blade, Ghost Scepter, or Aeon Disk, use
Nullify during the Chronosphere.
Arc Warden: Arc
Warden does well because of their naturally high attack speed and low attack
damage. They work well together with Nullifiers' bonus damage to wreak as much
havoc as possible.
Riki: Riki can use
Smoke Screen with Nullifier to stop enemies from protecting themselves with
Ethereal Blade, Force Staff, and Ghost Scepter.
If you don't use any
of these Heroes then Slark, Broodmother, Troll Warlord, and Juggernaut can all
benefit from Nullify as well.
Final
Remarks
Nullifier is an
excellent addition to your game, so long as you know how to use it. Pair it
with the correct Hero to get the most out of it. Remember to visit the Secret
Shops to complete your purchase because getting it from the Main Shop doesn't
get you what you need.
