The Counter Strike Global Offensive or CS Go is a multi-player game created by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. In the popular Counter Strike series, the CS Go is actually the fourth game, and this was released for Xbox 360, Play Station 3, OS X, and Windows. In this game, there will be two teams that will compete with each other-the Counter and the Terrorists. Both teams are tasked to eliminate the opposing team while simultaneously completing separate goals. Depending on the mode of the game, the Terrorists should either defend hostages or prevent bombs. On the other hand, the Counter-terrorists should either defuse bombs, make sure they are not planted, or just liberate those hostages.
The Counter Strike Global Offensive has nine-game modes, and all of these modes display unique characteristics that are particular into that mode. This game also features matchmaking support allowing players to play in fully dedicated Valve servers and enabling community members to easily host their very own servers with game modes and custom maps.
CS Go has essentially received pleasant views even from the critics upon release. The game was praised for its faithfulness for the predecessors and of course for its gameplay, although this is somewhat criticized for some features. Since the game’s released, this has continuously drawn millions of gamers worldwide, and most of them have become part of the active and highly competitive game scenes.
The Gameplay
The Counter Strike Global Offensive is a multi-player, objective-based, and first-person shooter. There are two opposing teams, and at the end of every round, players will be rewarded based on their respective performance with currency in-game to spend for other utility and weapons in succeeding rounds. If players win more nine-game, they will be rewarded with more money and if they complete their objectives such as killing the enemies will provide more cash bonuses. But if players commit to uncooperative actions like killing their teammates, this will result in penalty.
In CS GO, purchasable weapons fall into five categories; four are guns and the last one being the utilities-Sub-machine guns, rifles, pistols, grenades, and heavy. All grenade types comes with varying in-game effects, and the guns with different properties.
This game also has nine major game modes, namely weapons course, danger zone, flying scoutsman, wingman, demolition, arms race, deathmatch, casual and competitive. The competitive mode this game pits gamers against one another in 2 teams consisting of 5 players in match lasting about 45 minutes.
