According to Esports World Ranking, the top five best teams in Dota 2 are Team Secret, Team Nigma, OG, Alliance, and Team Liquid.
Team Secret
Team Secret is rated as the best team in Dota 2. This team comprises mostly European players; however, they are coached by Heen, a South Korean professional Dota 2 player. They are one of two teams to have the most appearances at the Major Finals.
They have been a Dota 2 team since 2001. Not only is Team Secret considered the top Dota 2 team in the world, but Team Secret is also one of the few top ranked Dota 2 teams, with earnings up in the millions. Currently, they have a total earning of over $11 million.
Team Nigma

The team is the brainchild of the former Team Liquid player, KuroKy, who decided to create his own team. Like Team Secret, the group is made of mostly European Dota 2 players, and their coach is also a former Dota 2 powerhouse, rmN.
The team's roster consists of players from Miracle, w33, MinD ContRol, and founder, KuroKy.
OG
Formerly known as (monkey) Business, don't be deceived by the OG's Esports ranking. Though they may be ranked as the third-best team for Dota 2, but they are the only team in Dota 2 history to win four Dota championships. The OG is a Dota 2 playing powerhouse, as their roster comprises skilled and big names from other Dota 2 teams. Don't be deceived by their rank; OG is one of the only teams in Dota gaming history to have any many back to back wins and titles to their name.
The team has been competing since 2015.
Alliance
Alliance has been playing since 2013 and is considered significant competition for European Dota 2 teams. Alliance was founded by professional Swedish Dota 2 player, Loda. From there, who went on to recruit Dota players to build what is now known as Alliance.
Since their formation in 2013, they have played over 1,000 games, and their longest win streak was 25 games.
Team Liquid
Founded in Netherland in 2000, Team Liquid is considered one of the original Dota 2 teams. Before they were Team Liquid, they were Brood War, which then became StarCraft II. It was not until 2012 that they took on the name Team Liquid.
Though they rank amongst the top Dota 2 teams, they are most notably known for their Dota2 live coverage website, TL.net. Team Liquid is one of the few Dota 2 teams to break it into the North American Dota competitions. Given the longevity of Team Liquid, it should come as no surprise that they have amassed a total earning of over $22 million since their formation.
